Matera launches student-led campaign against gender violence

The city of Matera has launched a student-led initiative as part of the national ‘Mai bandiera bianca’ campaign to combat gender-based violence. Promoted by ANCI and the Department of Equal Opportunities, the program involves local secondary schools in a creative competition.

Selected slogans and ideas produced by students from various local institutes will be used in a city-wide awareness campaign throughout November. To strengthen the message among younger demographics, the city is also collaborating with local influencer Martina dell’Anna to promote the campaign on social media.
