Matera Sport Film Festival opens 15th edition

The 15th edition of the Matera Sport Film Festival has officially commenced with an opening ceremony held at the Guerrieri Cineteatro. A highlight of the event was the non-competitive screening of the documentary “Storia di una famiglia gialloverde – Una scia lunga 70 anni” by Christian Antonilli, which chronicles the history of the Gruppo Nautico delle Fiamme Gialle.

The ceremony featured several distinguished guests, including Antonio Rossi, President of the Italian Canoe and Kayak Federation, and Olympic rowing champion Valentina Rodini. Additionally, journalist Jacopo Volpi was honored with the “Nino Grilli” Journalism Prize. The festival also included technical previews involving 3D video capture and mixed reality in collaboration with the University of Basilicata.
