Matera wraps filming of The Saints 3 docuseries

The third season of the religious docuseries The Saints, created and presented by Oscar‑winning director Martin Scorsese and produced by Lupin Films for Fox Nation, finished shooting in Matera, Italy. Production returned to the city’s historic Sassi district for a second year, setting up open‑air sets in locations such as Piazza Duomo, Via Fiorentini, Via Madonna delle Virtù and the Malve district. The week‑long shoot attracted tourists and locals who watched the crew at work.

The completion follows a highly successful second season that became the most‑watched series in Fox Nation’s history. Matera’s role as a sought‑after film location is reinforced, and the city is also slated to host a visit by director Francis Ford Coppola later in August.
