Materia DiscoForum to feature Elton John’s ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’

The third installment of the DiscoForum di Materia will feature a shared listening session of Elton John’s 1973 masterpiece, ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’. Held at the Spazio-Libero in Castronno, the event focuses on significant 33 rpm vinyl records from the 1970s that shaped pop and rock history.

Guided by Yuri Pirovan, the evening is designed as a spontaneous discussion rather than a formal lecture, allowing participants to share impressions, anecdotes, and memories regarding the collaborative work between Elton John and Bernie Taupin. This event follows previous sessions dedicated to David Bowie’s ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’ and Genesis’ ‘Nursery Cryme’.
