Mateusz Morawiecki's Rozwoj Plus Gains 7.5% Support in Polish Polls

Former Polish prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki is forming a new party, Rozwoj Plus, after a split in the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party. PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński announced that about 44 MPs linked to Morawiecki would be expelled, prompting the creation of the new parliamentary club.

Polls commissioned by Wirtualna Polska and conducted by United Surveys and IBRiS show Rozwoj Plus attracting roughly 7.5% of voter intention, which would translate into about 30‑31 seats in the 460‑member Sejm. The Civic Coalition (KO) remains the front‑runner with 28.5‑29.4% support (around 175 seats). PiS itself polls at 15.9‑21.5% depending on the scenario, while the right‑wing Confederation gathers 13.5‑14.5% and the Polish Crown Confederation about 12%. Smaller parties such as Lewica, PSL, Razem and Poland 2050 fall below the 5% threshold.

If Rozwoj Plus enters the election, the combined PiS‑Rozwoj Plus‑Confederation bloc would command a parliamentary majority (over 250 seats), challenging the Civic Coalition‑Lewica alliance.
