Matheus Vargas involved in car accident near Barretos

Singer Matheus Vargas, son of sertanejo artist Leonardo, was involved in a car accident on Friday (28) while leaving Barretos, São Paulo. The singer was traveling toward Ribeirão Preto for a television commitment following a performance at the Festa do Peão de Barretos.

According to Vargas, the collision occurred when another vehicle entered his lane on the right, making it impossible to brake in time. Vargas reported via social media that no one in his team or the other vehicle was injured, and the incident resulted only in material damage to the cars.

His mother, entrepreneur Liz Vargas, expressed her distress regarding the situation on social media but confirmed that everyone is safe. Due to the accident, Vargas apologized to fans for missing his scheduled television appearance and stated he intends to reschedule the commitment soon.
