Mathias Gidsel warns of challenges for Füchse Berlin

Mathias Gidsel has expressed concern regarding the significant structural changes facing Füchse Berlin ahead of the new season. The club has seen the departure of key players Lasse Andersson and Dejan Milosavljev, while Nils Lichtlein remains sidelined indefinitely due to foot surgery.

Gidsel, who has been a dominant figure for the club, noted that the offensive foundation that supported the team for the past four years has been dismantled. He described the squad as ‘a completely new team’ and stated that he must take on increased responsibility both on the court and in establishing a new team culture.

Füchse Berlin’s season begins with a Super Cup match against SC Magdeburg on August 22, followed by their Bundesliga opener against MT Melsungen five days later.
