Mathieu Burgaudeau joins Burgos Burpellet BH for 2027

Professional cyclist Mathieu Burgaudeau will leave TotalEnergies to join the Spanish UCI ProTeam Burgos Burpellet BH for the 2027 season. The 27-year-old rider, who has spent his entire professional career with the French organization, will be reunited with former teammates Mattéo Vercher and Thomas Bonnet at the new team.

Burgaudeau is known for his ability to win from breakaways and compete in demanding one-day races. His career highlights include a stage win at Paris–Nice in 2022 and successes at the Tour of Istanbul. The move comes amid ongoing uncertainty regarding the future of TotalEnergies, as several riders, including Anthony Turgis and Jordan Jegat, have also departed the French squad.

Burgaudeau expressed enthusiasm for the move, stating, “I’m really looking forward to winning races and finishing among the leaders in those events that suit my riding style.” He noted that Burgos Burpellet BH offers the opportunity to demonstrate his capabilities across different terrains.
