Mathieu Patouillet nears move to Stade Brestois

Mathieu Patouillet is reportedly close to joining Stade Brestois in Ligue 1. The 22-year-old goalkeeper, who was trained by Olympique Lyonnais, is expected to sign a three-year contract.

Patouillet arrives as a backup to Egil Selvik following the departure of Grégoire Coudert to England. This move follows a brief stint with the Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, where Patouillet appeared in only two Asian Champions League matches before his contract was terminated. Because he is joining Brest as a free agent, Olympique Lyonnais will not receive any transfer fees or sell-on percentages from the move.
