Sina Frei and Adrien Boichis win XCC races in Les Gets

The UCI Mountain Bike World Series returned to Les Gets, France, with the Cross-country Short Track (XCC) races. Under wet and technical conditions, Sina Frei and Adrien Boichis secured victories in the Elite women's and men's categories, respectively, strengthening their leads in the overall standings.

In the women's race, Swiss rider Sina Frei claimed her third XCC win of the season, finishing ahead of Jenny Rissveds and Savilia Blunk. Frei's performance extends her lead in the general classification to 80 points over Rissveds. The race also featured a comeback attempt by Samara Maxwell, who was sidelined by a puncture while in the lead group.

In the men's race, Frenchman Adrien Boichis took the win, followed by compatriot Luca Martin and David List. The event was highlighted by the return of Mathieu van der Poel to Short Track competition. Starting from the 41st position due to recent inactivity, the Dutchman made a significant charge through the field to finish 10th, serving as a key preparation for the upcoming World Championships in Val di Sole.
