Mathis Valin recovering from injury after Portugal crash

Mathis Valin, of the Kawasaki Racing Team MX2, is making significant progress in his recovery following a heavy crash during a qualifying race in Portugal seven weeks ago. The French rider, who recently secured his first GP victory in Germany, sustained injuries to his back, wrist, and shoulder.

While Valin is not yet ready to resume training on his Kawasaki KX250-SR, he has begun rebuilding his physical training program, including more intense cycling. He will not return to competition for the remaining rounds of this year’s MX2 World Championship series.

Valin aims to undergo further medical examinations in early September. His goal is to achieve peak physical condition in time to potentially compete in the MX of Nations in Ernée on October 4th, provided he receives medical clearance.
