Mathura: Driver arrested for running over and dragging Junior Engineer

A violent road rage incident occurred in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, after a minor collision between two vehicles near the Masani intersection. Vikrant Bharti, a Junior Engineer (JE) with the Rural Engineering Department, was allegedly targeted by a car driver following a dispute over the collision.

Video footage shows the driver running over Bharti and dragging him several meters with the vehicle. While Bharti survived the attack and was taken to a nearby hospital, police have registered a case of attempted murder.

The suspect, identified as Vishal Sharma, has been arrested. Sharma, a resident of Agra and son of former BJP district vice president Madhusudan Sharma, was reportedly driving an XUV 300 bearing a BJP flag at the time of the incident. Police have seized the vehicle as part of their investigation.
