Mathura police search for body after alleged family murder conspiracy

In Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, police are conducting an intensive search for the body of 42-year-old Manoj Soni. Authorities allege that Soni was murdered by his wife, Naina, with the assistance of their daughter, Bhakti, and the daughter's alleged lover, Vimal Chaudhary.

According to police reports, the suspects allegedly incapacitated Soni by administering a sedative in his milk before killing him. The family reported that the motive for the crime was Soni's opposition to the relationship between his daughter and her lover. The suspects reportedly cremated the body in a forest near Akroor village and buried the remains near the banks of the Yamuna River.

Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar stated that search operations have been ongoing since Thursday. However, recent heavy rainfall and rising river waters have hindered efforts to locate the remains and identify specific sites for excavation.
