Matica crnogorska protests campaign against RTCG Council member Janko Ljumović

Matica crnogorska has issued a protest against a campaign by certain media outlets, NGOs, and the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro targeting Janko Ljumović. Ljumović serves as the organization's representative on the Council of the Radio Television of Montenegro (RTCG).

The dispute stems from a June decision by the Agency for Prevention of Corruption (ASK), which claimed Ljumović violated anti-corruption laws. Matica crnogorska describes this decision as legally unfounded and logically unsustainable, noting that Ljumović submitted all required documentation, including confirmation that he was never a member or official of the DPS political party.

The organization criticized the Administrative Committee of the Parliament for acting on the ASK decision before a final ruling from the Administrative Court. Matica crnogorska further alleged that the Council has continuously violated Montenegrin laws for six years, citing previous court rulings against other Council members regarding legal irregularities.
