Matija Roganović advances to World Youth Boxing Championship quarterfinals

Montenegrin boxer Matija Roganović has secured a place in the quarterfinals of the World Youth Boxing Championship (under 19) held in Budva. Competing in the 85kg category, Roganović defeated Italy's Luca Kasarsa with a 3:2 decision from the judges.

During the match, Roganović demonstrated dominance in the first round, forcing the referee to count Kasarsa twice following heavy strikes. Despite controversial scoring from certain judges, the victory marks Roganović's third win against Kasarsa this year.

In the quarterfinals, Roganović is scheduled to face Cuba's Julio Chibas, who advanced after defeating Ukraine's Hlieb Kvash. National team coach Boško Drašković noted that the upcoming match represents a significant opportunity for Roganović to compete for a world medal.
