Mato Grosso adds 8,258 formal jobs in June, agriculture leads the surge

The Brazilian state of Mato Grosso recorded a net increase of 8,258 formal jobs in June, ranking third among all states for job growth relative to population. The Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE) reported that the agriculture sector was the main driver, creating 4,128 positions, nearly half of the total gain. The services sector added 1,289 jobs, commerce 1,010, construction 958, and industry 873.

Gender data show that men filled 6,262 of the new jobs (about 76%) while women accounted for 1,996 positions. Nationwide, Brazil generated 145,161 formal jobs in June, with services leading the national tally. In the municipality of Nova Mutum, the net employment balance was positive with 294 more workers hired than dismissed; agriculture contributed 179 net jobs, services 110, construction 12, commerce 8, while industry saw a decline of 15.

These figures bring the total formal workforce in Brazil to 48 million, with the average real entry salary at R$ 2,404.34.
