Mato Grosso consumer credit restrictions hit 1.5 million adults
Approximately 1.5 million adult consumers in Mato Grosso were facing credit restrictions in July, according to data from SPC Brasil for the Chamber of Shopkeepers of Cuiabá (CDL Cuiabá). This represents a 6.50% increase compared to July of the previous year.
While the state saw a slight month-on-month contraction of 0.06% compared to June, annual delinquency continues to rise. The average debt per consumer in Mato Grosso is R$ 6,145.15, with an average unpaid duration of 28.7 months.
Financial institutions account for the largest share of these debts at 54.81%, followed by the retail sector at 21.54%. Other significant categories include utilities (8.90%) and communications (4.02%). The data shows that delinquency is most concentrated among adults aged 30 to 39, who represent 26.85% of the group.
