Brazilian state courts announce new hires and record efficiency

The Tribunal de Justiça de Mato Grosso do Sul (TJMS) began convoking candidates for its latest public competition, offering 360 positions for Judicial Analyst and Nurse Technician roles. The contest attracted more than 16,000 applicants, with an initial salary of R$ 7,960.97 plus transport and food allowances, bringing total compensation to about R$ 10,660.97.

Meanwhile, the Tribunal de Justiça de Mato Grosso (TJMT) reported a jump to 97% efficiency in the National Justice Council’s productivity index, up 22 percentage points. The court, which handles one of Brazil’s highest litigation rates, cut the average first‑instance case duration to roughly 13 months, lowered congestion to 53%, and reduced pending fiscal execution cases by 26.8%. TJMT also ranked third nationally in per‑process revenue, collecting about R$ 3,548.12 per case.
