Mato Grosso Court Launches First‑Ever Judicial Integrity Program
On 30 July the Tribunal de Justiça do Mato Grosso (TJMT) inaugurated IntegridadeJus, a pilot integrity office applied to a judicial unit. The 3ª Vara Especializada em Direito Bancário in Cuiabá was selected to test the methodology, which includes institutional diagnosis, risk management, workflow optimisation, data protection, staff training and tailored action plans.
Coordinator of the Integrity and Compliance Committee, Desembargador Jones Gattass Dias, said the initiative aims “to incorporate in all of us the consciousness of doing the right thing, regardless of supervision,” stressing that it is not about controlling people but strengthening a culture of integrity. Judge Alex Nunes de Figueiredo highlighted the project’s national relevance, noting that it positions the TJMT as a pioneer in first‑instance judicial governance. The pilot’s results will guide expansion to other Mato Grosso courts, creating a model that could be adopted nationwide.
