Mato Grosso Court of Accounts drives technical table reforms

The Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Mato Grosso (TCE‑MT) honored councilor José Carlos Novelli with the Dante de Oliveira award during the launch of his book on technical tables in courts. Deputy Wilson Santos highlighted Novelli’s decades of public service and his role in modernising the tribunal.

The TCE‑MT president, Sérgio Ricardo, has also ordered the creation of a technical table to streamline environmental licensing for family farmers and small producers. The initiative seeks to resolve bureaucratic blocks that affect roughly 700,000 people and could unlock up to R$100 billion in federal resources. Deputies Valdir Barranco and others described the current embargoes on hundreds of settlements and urged the table to accelerate CAR approvals and comply with recent environmental statutes.
