Mato Grosso Court of Accounts expands training for public servants
Sérgio Ricardo, president of the Mato Grosso Court of Accounts (TCE-MT), has announced an expansion of training programs through the Superior School of Accounts. The initiative aims to train 1,500 public servants by 2026.
The curriculum will cover essential administrative topics, including engineering work contracts, direct contracting, bidding exemptions, and the regulatory framework for civil society organizations. To increase accessibility, the courses will be expanded via a Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), a platform developed in partnership with the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT). This system will allow servants to attend distance learning sessions and access recorded classes.
Ricardo stated that the goal is to move beyond a purely punitive or supervisory role, emphasizing that the Court fulfills its purpose when public accounts are approved. He noted that the training is intended to support managers and secretaries who may lack specific knowledge of public administration, ensuring they are protected by accurate information when managing public resources.
