TJMT suspends judicial systems following security incident
The Court of Justice of Mato Grosso (TJMT) has suspended its systems and legal deadlines following a security incident that targeted its technological infrastructure. The disruption, which began on Monday, September 21, 2026, has affected both electronic and physical judicial processes across first and second instances.
Preliminary investigations by the Court’s Information Technology Coordination (CTI) suggest the incident was a hacker attack that exploited a structural vulnerability caused by the improper insertion of a document template. As a preventive measure, the TJMT deactivated institutional systems, including the Electronic Judicial Process (PJe), and implemented security protocols such as resetting access credentials and restricting sensitive access.
President José Zuquim Nogueira announced that while internal activities are expected to resume gradually, legal deadlines remain suspended until Friday, September 25. Essential services and the judicial duty roster continue to operate through physical means and in-person attendance at the Court's headquarters. To date, the TJMT has reported no evidence of data misuse or compromise to its backup mechanisms.
