Mato Grosso do Sul approves Outubrinho Rosa health initiative

The Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso do Sul has approved Bill 258/2025, which establishes the ‘Outubrinho Rosa’ initiative. The project is now moving toward its final drafting stage.

This program expands upon traditional October Breast Cancer Awareness (Outubro Rosa) activities by focusing on preventive health measures specifically for girls and adolescents up to 16 years old. The legislation includes provisions for educational campaigns, debates, and the distribution of information regarding healthy habits, sexual and reproductive health, the prevention of early pregnancy, and HPV vaccination. Additionally, the bill mandates training for public health managers and professionals to better serve the pediatric and adolescent population.
