Mato Grosso Fire Service partners with Sebrae to simplify business licensing
The Corpo de Bombeiros Militar of Mato Grosso (CBMMT) presented a partnership proposal to Sebrae‑MT during a meeting on 19 June at the CBMMT headquarters in Cuiabá. The initiative is part of the “Programa Empresa Segura MT” and seeks to expand fire‑safety guidance and streamline the licensing process for low‑risk companies. Colonel BM Flávio Glêdson Vieira Bezerra said the goal is to bring firefighters closer to entrepreneurs, reduce information gaps and boost building safety.
Planned actions include training Sebrae agents to advise business owners, producing educational materials, running informational campaigns and using Sebrae’s service network to disseminate the simplified licensing model for low‑risk activities. Sebrae’s territorial‑development manager Sandro Rossi noted that the cooperation aligns with Sebrae’s mission to support small businesses and that better information helps entrepreneurs meet compliance more easily. The partnership is expected to increase compliance with fire‑safety regulations, lower bureaucratic barriers and strengthen the overall business environment in the state.
