Mato Grosso do Sul court implements first magistrate transfer and launches child testimony interviewers

Judge Maurício Pinto Filho moved from the Minas Gerais state court to the Tribunal de Justiça de Mato Grosso do Sul (TJMS), marking the first judicial "permuta" between state courts since the national amendment that allows such transfers. The judge will serve in the 2nd Civil Court of Jardim, returning to the state where he grew up.

The TJMS also completed a practical training course for forensic interviewers, certifying eight professionals to conduct special testimony sessions with children and adolescents, including Indigenous and traditional community members. The program, run by the state's Judicial School in partnership with the Coordinating Office for Children and Youth and supported by UNDP, aims to reduce revictimisation and improve protection in the justice system.
