Brazil police seize massive drug and contraband loads FAST-MOVING
In July 2026 Brazilian law‑enforcement agencies carried out a series of large‑scale seizures. The Federal Highway Police stopped a Hyundai HB20 in Bela Vista de Minas and uncovered eight tablets of cocaine weighing about 7.8 kg. A maritime sweep on the Paraná River bordering Mato Grosso do Sul recovered 1,453 kg of marijuana from a clandestine port. In Iporã, the ROTAM unit discovered 15.45 kg of cocaine and 4.05 kg of crack hidden in a car's fuel tank.
Other investigations uncovered illicit activity unrelated to drugs. An abandoned light aircraft was found after a forced landing near the BR‑364 in Alto Garças; no occupants or drugs were recovered. In Mundo Novo, police seized 30,000 packs of Paraguayan cigarettes and 500 L of pesticide, valued at roughly R$ 2.2 million. These operations demonstrate a coordinated crackdown on drug trafficking and smuggling networks across Brazil.
