Três Lagoas education expansion: New schools and R$ 50M in regional reforms

The Mato Grosso do Sul State Secretary of Education, Hélio Queiroz Daher, has announced plans for significant educational investments and infrastructure improvements in the Três Lagoas region.

Key initiatives include the planned construction of a new state school in Três Lagoas to address rapid regional growth, following the implementation of units in Inocência and Bataguassu. The Secretary also highlighted over R$ 50 million in regional school reforms, including the necessary restoration of the historic Afonso Pena State School.

Looking toward the 2027 school year, the state is prioritizing the expansion of full-time education and increasing professional training in high schools. The current goal is to raise the percentage of high school students with access to vocational training from 55% to approximately 60%.
