Mato Grosso do Sul expands specialized healthcare services

The state of Mato Grosso do Sul is implementing significant healthcare expansions across its regional hospitals.

In Três Lagoas, the Hospital Regional da Costa Leste Magid Thomé will receive an investment of approximately R$ 12.8 million to introduce two new specialized services: Neurointervention and Flexible Ureterorenoscopy. The agreement, signed between the State Health Secretariat and Instituto Acqua, aims to provide minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment options for neurological, vascular, and urinary system conditions. The implementation period is expected to span nine months.

Additionally, the Hospital Regional de Mato Grosso do Sul (HRMS) has secured an emergency contract worth R$ 3.86 million for the installation of a Digital Neurological Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (UTI). Managed by Funsau, this technological service is designed to monitor high-risk newborns. The contract with Protecting Brains & Saving Futures Sistema de Diagnósticos Integrados Ltda. is set for a 24-month term, with the possibility of extensions up to 10 years.
