Mato Grosso do Sul faces intense heat and low humidity

Mato Grosso do Sul is expected to experience intense heat and low humidity starting this week as a cold air mass loses strength. According to the Center for Weather and Climate Monitoring (Cemtec), temperatures in most regions may reach 37°C, while areas in the Pantanal and northern parts of the state could exceed 40°C.

In Campo Grande, temperatures are forecasted to fluctuate between 14°C and 39°C. The region will see high thermal amplitude, with differences between morning and afternoon temperatures potentially exceeding 15°C to 20°C.

Relative humidity levels are expected to drop between 10% and 30% during dry periods, increasing the risk of forest fires and causing physical discomfort. Authorities recommend increasing water intake and avoiding prolonged sun exposure during peak hours. While the weather remains predominantly dry, isolated showers are possible between Thursday and Friday.
