Mato Grosso do Sul government reschedules public servant holiday

The Government of Mato Grosso do Sul has issued a decree, signed by Governor Eduardo Riedel, to reschedule the optional holiday for Public Service Day. Originally set for October 28, the day of rest has been moved to Friday, October 30.

This adjustment allows state executive branch employees, including those in direct administration, autarchies, and foundations, to have a four-day consecutive break. The period spans from Friday, October 30, through Monday, November 2, which is the national holiday for All Souls' Day (Finados). Regular administrative activities are scheduled to resume on Tuesday, November 3.

Normal business hours will be maintained on Wednesday, October 28. The government stated that the rescheduling will not cause prejudice to state administration activities. Essential services, such as health and public security, are excluded from this measure and must maintain continuous operation.
