Mato Grosso do Sul highway recovery works begin on Rota da Celulose

The concessionaire Caminhos da Celulose has begun recovery works on approximately 870 kilometers of the ‘Rota da Celulose’ in Mato Grosso do Sul. The project involves six work fronts distributed across several highways, including BR-262, BR-267, MS-040, MS-338, and MS-395.

Scheduled services include milling, pavement recomposition, micropavement application, and pothole repairs. Six contracted companies are executing the works, with quality monitored through specialized technical testing and laboratories. These interventions aim to reduce road irregularities and improve circulation conditions.

In addition to road repairs, the concessionaire has started constructing 13 User Service Units (SAU). These facilities will provide 24/7 support, including pre-hospital care, traffic inspection, vehicle removal, and mechanical assistance. The units will feature restrooms, changing areas, rest areas, drinking water, and electric vehicle charging points. While the construction of these units is expected to be completed by the end of 2027, user services are slated to begin in October of this year.
