Mato Grosso do Sul hosts Driver’s Day health and safety event for professional drivers
On Friday, July 24, the Mato Grosso do Sul State Traffic Department (Detran‑MS) partnered with the Municipal Transport and Traffic Agency (Agetran), SEST/SENAT and the Posto Kátia Locatelli to hold a free educational event for professional drivers in Campo Grande. The program, run from 10:00 to 15:00 at the busy fuel station, offered traffic‑safety demonstrations using simulators that show the effects of alcohol, fatigue and drugs, as well as health services such as blood‑pressure and glucose checks, ergonomic exercises and enrollment in driver‑qualification courses. Participants also received refreshments, fruit, popcorn and promotional items. The initiative aimed to promote safer driving habits and improve workers’ health among the region’s truck‑drivers and other professional motorists.
