The Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) is hosting the 8th edition of the Mais Esporte Festival from August 24 to 30. The event, part of the University Program for Leisure, Health, and Sport (PULSE), includes lectures, workshops, and competitions such as beach volleyball, canoeing, climbing, and jiu-jitsu. The program also features academic discussions on sports tourism, mental health, and Paralympic education.

In Dourados, the city government supported the 1st Kite Festival held at Jardim dos Bosques. Organized by local resident associations, the event provided recreational activities for families and awards for categories including the most beautiful kite and the highest flying kite.
