Mato Grosso do Sul industry sees record exports and expands youth training

Suzano announced the creation of 23 apprenticeship positions for young people in the industrial sector of Ribas do Rio Pardo, Mato Grosso do Sul. The company highlighted that, in 2025, 824 small and medium enterprises in the state generated about R$3.7 billion in contracts with Suzano, supporting local job creation and growth. Director of Industrial Operations Eduardo Ferraz said, “Some of our suppliers have been with us for more than ten years and completely transformed their businesses…”.

Industrial exports from Mato Grosso do Sul reached a historic US$3.83 billion in the first half of 2026, the highest semi‑annual total ever recorded. Exports were led by the meat‑processing complex and the cellulose‑paper sector, each accounting for roughly 38% of the value. The main overseas buyers were China, the United States and the Netherlands, among others.
