Mato Grosso do Sul hosts 2nd Heritage Journey and community events

Jornada do Patrimônio cultural heritage Mato Grosso do Sul Campo Grande heritage preservation

The 2nd Heritage Journey (Jornada do Patrimônio) is taking place from August 17 to 22, focusing on the preservation and diffusion of the cultural heritage of Mato Grosso do Sul. Organized by the Foundation of Culture of Mato Grosso do Sul (FCMS) in partnership with IPHAN/MS, Planurb, and Fundac, the event features cultural presentations, workshops, documentaries, and seminars.

Activities are spread across various locations in Campo Grande and the Quilombola Community of Furnas do Dionísio in Jaraguari. The program includes the XVI Symposium on Heritage Education and the X Municipal Seminar on Cultural Heritage.

In addition to heritage events, Campo Grande is hosting community wellness activities. The Treina Mulher initiative is offering free Ritbox classes on August 20 and 26 in different regions of the capital to encourage physical activity and health among women. Furthermore, the Municipal Sports Foundation (Funesp) is organizing a large-scale physical activity session at Parque do Sóter on August 20 to celebrate the city's 127th anniversary, offering classes in zumba, pilates, and volleyball.
