Mato Grosso do Sul launches public hearings for cultural funding

The Mato Grosso do Sul Culture Foundation (FCMS) has initiated a series of public hearings to guide the allocation of resources for the third cycle of the National Aldir Blanc Policy (PNAB). The hearings aim to inform the 2027 Resource Application Plan (PAR) by gathering input from artists, producers, managers, and cultural collectives across the state.

The process involves ten hub cities designed to reach all 79 municipalities in Mato Grosso do Sul. Initial meetings are taking place in Naviraí and Dourados, with the goal of identifying regional needs, evaluating access to funding, and proposing new selection instruments. FCMS President Edu Mendes emphasized that these contributions are essential to ensure planning reflects the actual realities and priorities of cultural workers in different territories.
