Mato Grosso do Sul winter drives deliver blankets to vulnerable families

The 7th edition of the Feijoada Solidária charity event, organized by the Loja Maçônica João Bismark in Várzea Grande, distributed more than 600 blankets to families in need across the Baixada Cuiabana region. The donations reached 11 local social institutions, helping children, the elderly and other vulnerable residents stay warm during the cold season. The project was supported by the Grande Loja Maçônica do Estado de Mato Grosso and funds raised through raffle sales.

Separately, the Campanha do Agasalho 2026, coordinated by the Fundo de Apoio à Comunidade (FAC) in Campo Grande, delivered over 17,000 clothing items—including blankets, coats, hats and shoes—to residents of the Colibri 1 and Vila Dedé neighborhoods. With more than 80 collection points city‑wide, the campaign aims to assist around 50,000 people, surpassing the 2025 total of 35,000 beneficiaries. Organizers also highlight the environmental benefits of re‑using garments, reducing landfill waste and supporting a circular economy.
