Mato Grosso Energy Union Showcases Rural Electrification Model

Carlos Garcia, president of the Sindicato das Indústrias de Energia do Estado de Mato Grosso (Sindenergia MT), presented the state’s energy initiatives at a Greener‑organized event in São Paulo. He highlighted the MT Trifásico program, which seeks to expand three‑phase electricity access to rural communities, improve grid infrastructure and attract investment to the region’s productive sector.

Garcia also discussed the outlook for small hydroelectric plants (PCHs) and energy‑storage systems, emphasizing their strategic role in ensuring future expansion and security of Brazil’s power sector. The union aims to bring Mato Grosso’s experience to national debates such as the Encontro Nacional de Agentes do Setor Elétrico (ENASE).
