Willian Henrique da Silva murdered on Mato Grosso farm, suspect Djalma Aparecido de Azambuja Filho missing
Willian Henrique da Silva, a 17‑year‑old, was found dead on a farm in Vila Bela da Santíssima Trindade, Mato Grosso. The body was recovered burned after being moved with a tractor and set on fire with tires. Autopsy showed a gunshot to the head and multiple knife wounds.
Police identified two suspects. Djalma Aparecido de Azambuja Filho, a 29‑year‑old farmer, is at large and is being searched for by the Polícia Civil. Anderson Nepomuceno da Silva, 44, was arrested in flagrante, confessed participation and was detained. A knife with blood traces and a firearm were seized at the scene, and the investigation is being led by the Polícia Civil and the Grupo Especial de Fronteira.
Authorities say the victim was lured to the farm under the pretext of drinking and hunting a caiman before being killed. The case is being treated as a barbaric homicide with efforts to destroy evidence.
