Mato Grosso Governor proposes state management model for Brazil
Mato Grosso Governor Otaviano Pivetta has proposed that the management model implemented in his state since 2019 should serve as a reference for Brazil. He advocates for fiscal responsibility, reducing the cost of the public machine, and increasing state efficiency to decrease the burden on workers.
Pivetta highlighted several measures adopted in Mato Grosso, including the strengthening of fiscal responsibility rules, the revision of tax incentives, the re-edition of the Transport and Housing Fund (Fethab), and administrative reform. He emphasized that the public structure should focus on providing services and executing works necessary for development rather than hindering economic progress.
