Mato Grosso Public Prosecutor's Office participates in national Ligue 180 meeting

Adjunct General Ombudsman of the Mato Grosso State Public Prosecutor's Office, Justice Prosecutor Silvana Correa Vianna, attended the 3rd National Meeting of Ligue 180 in Salvador on June 29‑30. The forum, organized by Brazil's Ministry of Women, gathered representatives from public ministries, the judiciary, public defenders, security agencies and civil society to strengthen the national network against violence toward women.

Participants discussed improving complaint handling and referral flows, launched the National Guidelines for Women’s Houses to standardize services, and signed technical cooperation agreements between the Ministry of Women, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, and the Presidential Communication Secretariat to combat digital violence. The Ministry of Women also introduced new digital tools to expand access to Ligue 180. Vianna highlighted the role of the Women's Ombudsman, created by Resolution 226/2021, in cooperating with the National Prosecutor's Ombudsman network to receive and forward gender‑based violence reports, aiming to consolidate federative coordination and enhance state response to women in danger.
