Mato Grosso initiatives focus on tourism, culture, and local development
Various regional development and cultural initiatives are underway across Mato Grosso, Brazil. In Sinop, the local government has begun revitalizing Praça Plínio Callegaro and has completed a R$ 664,000 sidewalk project near Parque Florestal using eco-friendly materials to improve accessibility and drainage. Additionally, the municipality is offering free consultancy to promote rural, eco, and leisure tourism.
On a broader scale, the Instituto Capacitar Mais has been authorized to raise up to R$ 3.34 million via the Culture Incentive Law for the ‘Circuito Saboreando Meu Brasil – MT 2027’ project, which aims to promote regional gastronomy and identity across ten municipalities.
Economic support is also being prioritized through Sebrae/MT, which is working to integrate the Chapada dos Parecis Ethnotourism Route across several municipalities, and through the 1st Trade Fair in Tabaporã. Furthermore, Desenvolve MT has engaged with entrepreneurs in Tangará da Serra to facilitate access to credit for business modernization and growth.
