Mato Grosso judicial costs increase by 4.1%

The Court of Justice of Mato Grosso (TJMT) has implemented a 4.1% increase in judicial costs. This adjustment, based on the National Consumer Price Index (INPC/IBGE) accumulated between August 2025 and July 2026, applies to all new legal actions and appeals filed in the state.

Under the new regulations signed by Corregedor-Geral José Luiz Leite Lindote, the minimum entry fee for ordinary civil actions in the first instance has risen from R$ 515.61 to R$ 536.75 for cases with inestimable value or those up to R$ 53,678.07. For higher-value cases, a proportional rate of 2% applies, with the court's collection ceiling increasing from R$ 109,600 to R$ 114,118.96. Other adjusted fees include instrument interlocutory appeals, external bailiff diligences, and electronic asset searches.
