Mato Grosso Judiciary Launches Commissions to Combat Harassment and Discrimination

The state judiciary of Mato Grosso has established two Commission on the Prevention and Confrontation of Moral, Sexual Harassment and Discrimination for first‑ and second‑degree jurisdictions. The bodies serve magistrates, court staff, interns, contracted collaborators and any other service providers linked to the court system. Members include judges, civil servants from each category and third‑party workers, selected through a mix of nomination and direct voting. Their duties are to receive reports, provide human‑centred listening, psychological support if needed, maintain confidentiality and guide victims toward restorative practices, all under the protocol defined by CNJ Resolution 351 (Oct. 28 2020). Cases can be submitted online via a form on the TJMT portal under the “Canal de Manifestação” banner. The commissions list a full roster of appointed and elected members, such as President Justice Juanita Cruz da Silva Clait Duarte, Vice‑President Justice Vandymara Galvão Ramos Paiva Zanolo, and numerous representatives from judges, clerks, unions and the Association of Judicial Analysts.

These structures aim to ensure that any harassment or discrimination complaint within the Mato Grosso judicial system is handled promptly, confidentially, and with professional support, reinforcing the court’s commitment to a safe and inclusive work environment.
