Mato Grosso judiciary orders IT firm to reopen job applications and forms team for 2026 public exam
The Mato Grosso State Court (TJMT) ruled that the state-owned technology company MTI must reopen, within 48 hours, the simplified selection process for former employees who left under a voluntary redundancy program. The decision, issued by Judge Jones Gattass Dias on 1 July, follows a union challenge by Sinttec‑MT, which argued that the original edital barred ex‑workers from even attempting to apply. The judge deemed the clause discriminatory and required MTI to accept applications from those affected, while preserving the contest’s other stages.
Separately, the Regional Labor Court of Mato Grosso (TRT‑23) issued a portaria establishing a working group to design and organize a 2026 public servants' concurso. The group will identify positions, estimate costs, prepare studies for hiring an organizing bank, and set guidelines for the edital, with a deadline of 31 December 2026. Its recommendations will be reviewed by the full tribunal before any contest is approved.
