Mato Grosso launches digital ID for fibromyalgia patients

The Mato Grosso State Health Secretariat (SES-MT), in partnership with the State Secretariat of Planning and Management (Seplag-MT), has introduced a free digital identification card for individuals with fibromyalgia. The document can be issued via the ‘MT Cidadão’ application or the official state portal.

Designed to facilitate priority care and ensure access to legal rights, the digital ID provides a secure and traceable way for patients to prove their condition. To apply, citizens must submit personal data, proof of residence, a 3x4 photo, and a medical report from a rheumatologist, physiatrist, or a specialist in chronic pain.

Applications are reviewed by the SES technical team within seven business days. If documents are incomplete, applicants have 60 days to rectify the issue before the request is canceled. For those facing technical difficulties, assistance is available at the State Reference Center for Medium and High Complexity (Cermac).
