Mato Grosso school reforms enhance student motivation
The State Education Secretariat of Mato Grosso (Seduc‑MT) has completed extensive infrastructure upgrades across the state’s public school network. So far, 52 new schools have been inaugurated, 64 are under construction, 106 existing schools have been renovated and 95 more are being worked on. In the sports and leisure sector, 48 poly‑sport courts have been delivered with another 39 under construction.
Governor Otaviano Pivetta says that better‑maintained, organized and comfortable school environments increase students’ willingness to study. Students such as 12‑year‑old Arielly Cristina Dias da Silva and 9‑th‑grader Maria Izabel de Souza Oliveira Rodrigues report feeling more motivated, safe and attached to their schools after the reforms. School directors also note higher engagement and improved behavior, linking the physical improvements to better learning outcomes.
