Mato Grosso lawyers compete for three TRE-MT judge positions

Twenty-eight lawyers have registered to compete for three judge-member positions at the Regional Electoral Court of Mato Grosso (TRE-MT). The vacancies will become available in May 2027 following the conclusion of the terms of Pérsio Oliveira Landim, Raphael de Freitas Arantes, and Marcelo Alexandre Oliveira da Silva Morgado.

The selection process is divided into three distinct calls: two for titular judge-members and one for a substitute judge-member. In accordance with Superior Electoral Court (TSE) guidelines to promote gender parity, one of the titular positions is reserved exclusively for female candidates.

The Mato Grosso Court of Justice (TJ-MT) will oversee the next stages, where the Plenary will vote to define the triple lists of candidates. These lists will then be sent to the TRE-MT and the TSE, before being submitted to the President of the Republic for final appointment.
