Mato Grosso micro-entrepreneurs secure R$ 318,000 in public contracts

Individual micro-entrepreneurs (MEIs) in Mato Grosso are increasing their presence in the public procurement market. Through the Contrata+Brasil platform, public agencies in the state have already moved R$ 318,400 in contracts for small-scale services.

This operation has resulted in 53 signed contracts focused on structural repairs and maintenance, involving 45 government agencies, 221 micro-entrepreneurs, and 220 family farmers. To ensure competitiveness, the platform sets a strict financial ceiling of R$ 13,098.41 per contract. The system aims to reduce administrative barriers and accelerate payment timelines, which are traditional bottlenecks for small businesses.

The list of authorized economic activities has expanded to 272 services. High demand is seen in maintenance roles such as carpenters, locksmiths, and tilers, as well as institutional support roles including photographers and instructors. Major entities like Banco do Brasil, Caixa Econômica, and the INSS have joined the system to decentralize small repair demands at their local branches.
