Free Children’s Film Festival on Diversity and Environment Opens at Goethe‑Institüt São Paulo
A free children's film showcase took place on 13 June at the Goethe‑Institüt in São Paulo. Six Latin‑American shorts addressed diversity, environmental protection and Indigenous culture, and were presented with accessibility features such as sign language interpretation and audio description.
In the same period, Brazilian schools organized outdoor environmental lessons. Students from Escola Municipal Elpídio Reis visited the Parque Ecológico do Sóter in Campo Grande, observing local birds and learning about biodiversity, while pupils from Escola Municipal Bela Vista explored the Parque Ecológico Municipal Claudino Francio in Sorriso, receiving guided tours of regional flora and a seed‑bank.
The Museu de História Natural of Mato Grosso celebrated the month of the environment with a series of free activities: distribution of 150 native tree seedlings, educational workshops for children, a weekly creative‑economy fair, and a traditional June 21 festa juniña. All programmes aim to promote environmental awareness, cultural inclusion and community participation across Brazil.
